What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I wasn’t the strongest student in school I used to struggle with Maths and Physics. Because of that, I really understand how frustrating it can be when you’re stuck, and how easy it is to lose confidence. I also remember how it felt when a tutor took the time to help me and I finally understood something it was a huge relief and a big motivation boost. That’s the feeling I want to give students. I know the impact a supportive tutor can have, and I’d love to be that person for someone else.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I think my biggest strengths as a tutor are patience, empathy, and the ability to explain things in a simple, relatable way. Since I’ve personally struggled with subjects like maths before, I know how important it is to create a safe space where students feel comfortable asking questions. I take time to understand how each student learns best, and I adapt my explanations to match their pace. I’m also good at encouraging them and helping build their confidence over time.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think one of the most important things a tutor can do is help a student feel confident in their own abilities. It's not just about getting the right answer — it’s about helping them understand why it works, and building up their mindset so they believe they can improve. A good tutor should be patient, supportive, and able to adapt their approach to suit the student’s learning style. It’s also important to create a space where students feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, and growing at their own pace.

About Brilliant
What I am currently studying
Civil Engineering student at Monash University with a strong interest in maths, problem-solving, and helping others learn. Experienced in casual tutoring, with a focus on clear explanations, patience, and building student confidence. Eager to develop both technical and professional skills through real-world experience.
What do I do outside of University
In my free time, I enjoy playing golf, football, and badminton. Golf helps me build patience, focus, and mental discipline, while football keeps me energised and sharpens my teamwork skills. Badminton is fast-paced and technical, and I enjoy the agility and quick thinking it requires. These sports not only keep me active but also help me stay balanced, focused, and motivated in other areas of life.
