What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Honestly, what I enjoy most about tutoring is those little moments when something finally clicks for the student. You can just see it on their face—the ‘Oh! I get it now!’ moment—and it’s such a great feeling to know you helped them get there. I also really enjoy building that one-on-one connection. Everyone learns differently, so I like figuring out what works best for each person and making learning feel less scary or frustrating for them. It’s not just about teaching; it’s about being someone they can rely on and feel comfortable with.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I’d say one of my biggest strengths as a tutor is patience. Whether it’s going over algebra, helping someone understand a tricky science concept, or working on grammar in English, I never mind explaining things multiple times in different ways until it clicks. I actually enjoy the challenge of figuring out how each student learns best—some need visuals, some prefer examples from everyday life, and some just need someone to explain things calmly and clearly. I also think I’m good at making students feel comfortable. A lot of them come in thinking they’re ‘bad’ at Maths or Science or English.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Honestly, I think one of the most important things a tutor can do is help the student feel comfortable and confident. It’s not just about getting better at Maths, English, or Science—it’s about helping them believe that they can get better. A lot of students come in already feeling nervous or like they’re ‘bad’ at something, and I think my job is to change that mindset. I try to be patient, listen to what they’re struggling with, and explain things in a way that actually makes sense to them. Sometimes, just knowing someone’s in their corner and not judging them can make a huge difference.
