What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy learning about how other people like to learn, generally i just tend to repeat questions to understand how they work but its interesting to me how other people go about remembering a formula or a concept. when I taught my friends, most of them used different methods of remembrance than me ie mnemonics or flashcards which i find intriguing because i find they dont work on me. helping them find ways to remember something is just as important as helping them understand it in my opinion.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I think my strengths are in giving easy to understand explanations for a concept. this is the feedback ive been given from the people ive tutored. this is heightened if there are ways to give a physical explanation for the concept (ie engineering and physics related problems)
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think its most important to build a strong foundation to build upon in a given subject. for example its not just important that you understand how it works, you should be able to explain how it works to someone else. this is because it shows that you have a strong fluency in the subject and not just the ability to memorise a process. A strong foundation leads to easier applications of your knowledge in the future and a greater understanding of how and why the applications of your knowledge come to be.
