What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy how I can really make a difference in a student's experience with their subjects. I was really blessed with passionate teachers and tutors while I was in highschool and they truly helped me be involved and conscious with the way that I study even in university.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I am very flexible with the way I teach and I have experience experimenting with different approaches in explaining challenging concepts. Furthermore, I possess strong communication skills to allow for this experimentation. An example includes when I explained the application Kirchhoff's voltage law in a tricky circuit diagram to a struggling peer in first year. As they were well familiar with gravity, I used this connection to resolve their confusion and assist in their analysis.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
From being tutored myself and teaching others, I strongly believe that making the subject and topics interesting and fun for the student is the most important thing a tutor can do. Ultimately, it is the student who studies in their own time for their academics; the tutor occupies a very limited portion of their schedules. In order to truly make a difference in a student's learning, a tutor has to transform how they view their studies such that they can effectively learn independently. This not only allows them to excel in their academic performance but also helps them be self-driven learners.
