What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

The thing I enjoy the most about tutoring is undoubtedly the process of watching each of my students learning and gaining something from my experiences and knowledges. Personally it is an incredible experience to watch a student progressing from being confused and puzzled about certain topics to the moment where everything makes sense. From my experience that moment of epiphany of the student is what I deeply sympathise with, it is almost as if went through the learning journey together with them. I always feel incredibly proud and rewarded when I see their satisfactions.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I would say one of my key strengths as a tutor to be very comprehensible. Through my previous experiences dealing with tutoring kids, I have practiced the ability of being able to break down difficult concepts into comprehensive steps and examples. Additionally, another one of my strength will be patience and approachability. Because I'm not too distant from high school and tutoring younger children, I'm confident in my ability of understanding the struggles and the ways of thinking of kids in middle school and high school, with both experience and knowledge, I would be very helpful.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I think the most important things a tutor can do for a student is to assist them to find their method of learning and to foster their ability of independent and critical thinking. As I believe every kids learn best at their own method, I prioritise my student's preference and feedback on which way of learning they understands best. Moreover, I think being a tutor is not just about teaching the right answers, but to teach them the approach and perspectives to consider questions and challenges. I think it is important to guide students to understand the approach and mechanisms.
