What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
The most enjoyable thing about tutoring is being able to watch students grow and learn throughout the process. This means that both their hard work as well as my contribution is paying off. It is also rewarding being able to build a relationship with a student and create as safe space. For me, this looks like the student feeling comfortable to take risks and fail as well as celebrate their wins.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
My strengths as a tutor is effective communication skills and being able to break down concepts into simple terms. I am also very patient and non-judgemental which is very important in a teaching and learning process. I am also very encouraging and able to maintain a positive attitude throughout the teaching process.
Most important things I can do for a student π
I think the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to support a student to become an independent learner. By doing this, it means a student is able to use problem-solving techniques in their study and in the classroom, rather than just encouraging rote learning.
