What do I enjoy most about tutoring? ๐
Although I haven't had much experience about tutoring, I really enjoy being able to help people as much as I can. This applies especially when I try to explain questions and content to my friends when they are stuck at something. I really enjoy simply making a difference to other people's lives.
My Strengths as Tutor ๐ช
I think my strengths as a tutor would be my patience. When I explain something to people, I do not rush into helping, but rather slowly and carefully show each step of the problem ensuring they fully understand and learn about the topic. When I help my friends and they don't understand what I'm saying, I stay calm and not frustrated as to how they don't understand, but rather go in their shoes and ask myself why would they not understand.
Most important things I can do for a student ๐
I consider the most important things a tutor can do towards a student is having a friendly relationship between them. I think this maximises the learning of the student where they are more willing to learn if they are more comfortable with the tutor.
Another thing a tutor can do for a student is key preparation. This involves planning how the session goes before attending to avoid any mix ups and potential time wasted figuring about what to teach. Having good management and preparation would also make it clearer for the student to know what he is learning and how this helps him academically.

About Darren
Introduction
My name is Darren and i genuinely enjoy helping others understand concepts and overcome challenges. I especially love explaining things in ways that make sense to each individual student. Being able to make a positive impact on someoneโs learning journey motivates me to be patient, encouraging, and supportive in every session.
Education
I am currently studying a degree in commerce majoring in finance and psychology in Macquarie university and have a strong interest in Maths. I have experience helping friends and peers with their schoolwork, which has taught me how to adapt my teaching methods to different learning styles. I aim to make learning engaging, clear, and confidence-building for every student.
Teaching Philosophy
My tutoring philosophy is simple: learning should be a positive experience. I focus on understanding each studentโs strengths and weaknesses, providing guidance that not only helps with assignments but also builds long-term skills and confidence. I find it rewarding to see students grow academically and enjoy learning.
