1. Being attentive to the student's learning needs/ having a clear understanding of the challenges faced by the student. 2. Working to build the student's confidence by focusing on areas where the student demonstrated growth/ improvement and encouraging the student to focus more on continuous improvement over perfection. 3. Empathise with the student on the challenges they face and instill in them the confidence to overcome those challenges through hard work, perseverance and by looking at the problem from a different perspective.
