What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Although I have never tutored professionally, I would love to participate in this opportunity. I would love to be able not only to help improve kids' and students' learning abilities and grades, but also to help increase their confidence.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I have been diagnosed with both ADHD and Autism quite late in my life. While I always achieved good grades in school, I experienced many difficulties when it came to trying to learn the way I was told was the "right way". I think I would be able to help these students find the way of learning that works for them. Ultimately, I hope this will provide them with lifelong skills and help them better understand themselves.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing a tutor can do for a student, from my point of view, is to not only teach them but also be their friend/ally. A tutor should be someone the student feels safe and comfortable with, and can go to for advice, educational or otherwise. I think this develops not only a better understanding between tutor and student, leading to an increased likelihood of the student taking in information, but also provides students who may be struggling in school or at home with a safe person to talk to.
