What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
There are many things i enjoy about tutoring but the ones that stand out to me the most would be:
seeing students become more confident in answering questions that might have stumped them in the past. Becoming self aware that they are improving themselves.
Sometimes it just takes that one little click for them to understand something and it gives you a sense of fulfilment/ proud feeling when they finally understand the concept. Lastly, passing on knowledge for the next generation is something i feel proud of and strive to do on a daily basis with my 3 younger siblings in particular.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
my strengths as a tutor would be i have a very patient attitude and can repeat something as many times as the student needs. If they dont get it using Method A i would try B, C, D.... until it works. I understand that one set method to teach Student Y may not work for Student X.
I like following up lessons ive done beforehand to make sure they have fully understood what theyve learnt previously and not just memorised what they needed to know for that weeks class/homework.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is giving them the impression that you are really there to help them. Building trust, being excited when they show you their marks have gone up, being there when they are down, etc.
