What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I love teaching and am passionate about helping students become holistic life-long learners. I enjoy the process of tutoring, building relationships, seeing the "aha" moments when students reach learning goals and witnessing and assisting the learning growth of a student over time.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I am a qualified and practicing primary school teacher with a current and detailed knowledge of the NSW curriculum. As well as my current work as primary school teacher, I have worked as a high school learning support and junior high English teacher. I have had various informal tutoring roles over the years. As a tutor, I am skilled at working with parents and involving them in the learning process of their child. I am able to build respectful relationships with students that enable them to learn to the best of their ability. I can provide targeted and evidence-based learning strategies.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

A tutor can provide deeper and specific pedagogical learning support for students to hope them reach their learning goals. A student might not get enough one-on-one time with a classroom teacher in a regular classroom setting. Tutors can complement the traditional school setting by providing assistance, clarification, deeper scaffolding and support for students to meet their learning goals.
