What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I believe tutoring is one of the most rewarding jobs where I can see my students grow in confidence and progress over time. It’s satisfying to know that I’ve played a role in making learning easier and more enjoyable for them. Tutoring is also a job where I am able to connect with my students. Not only can I guide them academically, but as a tutor, I also have role in motivating them to reach their potential and have a positive mindset towards learning.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

My strengths as a tutor are my patience and communication skills, where these two in conjunctions allow me to explain difficult concepts in a manner that suits the learning style of students. I am also very approachable and positive minded, which is essential is ensuring my students remain motivated and comfortable with asking me questions. But most importantly, I am a very organised person which is an immense strength as a tutor. essential in planning lessons carefully, set clear goals and track each student’s progress so they can see their improvement.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

With my previous experience both as being a tutor and being tutored by someone else, I believe a tutor should pay a fundamental role in empowering students to take ownership of their learning. Beyond improving marks academically, it’s vital that a tutor can help develop their student’s confidence, motivation and learn study and time management skills they are able to use in other aspects of life. Above all, a tutor must be adaptable to suit the specific needs of their student. I recognise every student is unique and requires a different approach to learning in order to feel supported.

About Meghla

Experienced Maths and English Tutor for Primary Students

Meghla is a dedicated high school student with several years of hands-on experience tutoring primary school children in Maths and English, including preparation for selective school tests. She has worked with small groups and individual students, helping them consolidate core skills, complete homework and build exam confidence. Through organising, marking and recording student work, this tutor has developed a clear understanding of where students typically struggle and how to break concepts into simple, manageable steps.

Organised, Reliable and a Natural Role Model

As a school house captain, SRC executive member and peer support leader, Meghla regularly mentors younger students and helps guide them through school life. These roles have strengthened her communication skills and her ability to encourage shy or anxious learners. Balancing leadership positions with sport and academics, she brings strong time management and reliability to her tutoring, so parents can trust that lessons are well planned, punctual and focused.

Active, Motivating and Results-Focused Approach

Meghla’s background as a club and school athlete, lifesaving instructor and representative cross-country and athletics competitor shapes her tutoring style: energetic, encouraging and goal-oriented. She helps students set realistic learning targets, then tracks progress using simple checklists and practice tasks, much like a training plan.
