About Deep

Education

I try to bring a calm, steady presence that helps students feel comfortable asking questions and taking their time to understand new ideas. Through mentoring and training staff in my current role, I have developed strong communication skills and a knack for explaining things in simple, step-by-step ways. I as a tutor understand that every child learns differently and adapts my explanations, pace, and examples so that even tricky Maths and English concepts start to feel manageable and achievable.

Work Experience

With a background in software engineering, I am used to breaking down complex problems into clear, logical steps – a skill i apply directly to tutoring. I help students to see patterns in Maths, understand the β€œwhy” behind methods, and build strong problem-solving habits. When supporting English, I focus on structure and clarity, helping students plan answers, write more confidently, and check their own work. I as a tutor encourage students to think independently rather than just memorise.

Mentorship

I regularly use real-life scenarios from everyday situations to make Maths and English feel relevant and interesting, whether that’s interpreting information, working with numbers, or improving communication. My experience in resolving complex customer issues has trained me to listen carefully and ask the right questions, which helps me to quickly spot where a student is stuck. I celebrate small wins, build confidence lesson by lesson, and aim to turn frustration into a sense of progress and control.
