What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

The thing I love most about tutoring is being able to no only teach people, but more importantly grow there interest and skills in a particular area. One of my favourite things about being a tutor is watching someone get that 'lightbulb' moment, when something finally clicks for them, and knowing that in some way, I helped them get there.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

My strengths come as I have genuine interest in my chosen fields. As I have a passion for the things that I am tutoring, it makes to much easier to help another person develop theirs. I also have strengths in my communication skills, which I have developed through various leadership and volunteering situations that I have learned to navigate.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I feel like I have spoken about this slightly in the previous questions, but it is defiantly the ability to grow a students passion and interest. Another important thing is the ability to think critically and problem solve in and scenario, as I feel that in schools, students are taught to answer questions instead of actually think, which is a key skill that everyone needs, no matter what they are doing in life.

About Adam

Strong Maths and Science Foundation for School Success

Adam has recently completed Year 12 with A-band results across Specialist Maths, Mathematical Methods, Physics, Chemistry and English, giving him a deep understanding of the content your child is learning now or will soon encounter. He knows the current curriculum first-hand and can explain tricky ideas in clear, simple steps. This tutor is especially well suited to students aiming to build confidence in maths and science, prepare for assessments, or stretch themselves towards higher achievement.

Peer and Classroom Support Experience

During school, Adam actively tutored his peers and regularly helped in younger year maths and science classes during his free periods. He is used to breaking down complex problems on the spot, guiding classmates through past papers, and checking their working to catch small errors early. This hands-on experience means he understands where students commonly get stuck and can quickly adjust explanations, whether a child needs revision of basics or extension beyond classwork.

Organised, Approachable and Student-Focused

Adam combines strong organisational skills with a calm, approachable manner, creating lessons that are structured but never intimidating. He uses simple, step-by-step methods, encourages students to talk through their thinking, and shows them how to set up effective study notes and exam strategies. Comfortable with technology and online tools, he can share practice questions, digital resources and worked solutions to keep students engaged and progressing between sessions.
