What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
What I enjoy most about tutoring is seeing a student finally understand something they’ve been struggling with. Even though I’m still early in my tutoring journey, I really love being part of that moment where things click. I also enjoy creating a space where students feel comfortable asking questions they might not ask in class. Helping someone build confidence in themselves is really rewarding to me.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My biggest strengths are patience, clear communication, and being able to relate to students. Since having recently been through the same subjects myself, I remember exactly what confused me and what explanations actually helped. I’m also very willing to put in the work whether that is preparing practice questions, breaking things down step-by-step, or explaining something in different ways until it makes sense.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think the most important things a tutor can do for a student are to build their confidence, create a comfortable space where they feel safe to make mistakes, and adapt their teaching to suit the student’s learning style. A tutor should also encourage positive study habits and help the student become more independent over time, rather than just giving them answers.

About Amelia
Confident Young Tutor Who Connects Naturally with Kids
Amelia is a warm, energetic tutor who already works closely with children as a qualified swim teacher and nippers instructor. She is patient, friendly and knows how to explain skills step by step so young learners feel safe and confident trying something new. Through regular babysitting for family and friends, she has learnt how to keep kids engaged with a fun but calm approach, making her a great fit for primary and early high school students who need encouragement as well as guidance.
Clear Communicator with Strong School Involvement
As a senior school student and representative on the student council, Amelia is used to listening carefully, speaking clearly and working with a wide range of personalities. She understands how to break information down and check that students really understand, not just nod along. Her experience collaborating in multiple sports teams means she values encouragement, persistence and goal-setting, which she brings into tutoring sessions to help students stay motivated and take ownership of their learning.
Safe, Reliable and Well-Organised Support for Your Child
This tutor combines strong communication skills with a genuine sense of responsibility. Her first aid, CPR and Bronze certificates, along with surf rescue experience, show that she takes children’s safety seriously and can stay calm under pressure. Years of balancing work, study and sport have built excellent time management and reliability, so parents can trust her to arrive prepared and on time. Amelia aims to create a supportive, structured environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence in their schoolwork.
