What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Having received tutoring myself when i was a school student, I value the work and passion that tutors put into their lessons. As a prospective tutor, I seek to pay this forward, knowing that I am bring my experience as a recently graduated VCE student to help others in their academic journey. Tutors allow their students to feel confidence that they might have otherwise not been able to experience.My Strengths as Tutor 💪
One of my strengths that I would bring to my role as tutor is that I have experience with interacting with younger children. As a church volunteer at Citylife Church, I supervise young children on a bi-monthly, weekly basis, so I understand that I have to treat them in an appropriate way for them to truly grasp the material we teach at Church. I can apply this skill to my tutoring role by helping students grapple with challenging concepts. Another strength that I think will add value to my role as tutor is that I am very reflexible and adaptable. Tutors should be able to break down complex concepts into bite-sized pieces for students to easily understand. Tutors should have strong communication skills so that the students will learn effectively and truly grasp the knowledge of the subject matter. About Joseph
Experienced with Young Children and Classroom-style Groups
Joseph has spent several years volunteering with young children, supervising groups while their parents attend other activities. He regularly helps run games, music, stories and craft sessions, so he is very comfortable keeping children engaged, focused and safe in a group setting. This tutor is used to following clear procedures such as check-in and check-out, which shows a strong sense of responsibility. Parents can expect Joseph to be calm, patient and organised when working with primary students.

Through his volunteer work, Joseph has learnt to plan activities, prepare materials in advance and work closely with a small team, skills that translate directly into well-structured tutoring sessions.
