Anne-Marie is a fully qualified primary teacher with a Bachelor of Education and is currently completing a Masters in Education focused on classroom practice. She has taught across all primary year groups, including infants, middle and senior classes, giving her a clear understanding of curriculum expectations in Maths and English at every stage. Since she has been providing individual grinds in Irish, Mathematics, English and phonics for several years, she knows how to break topics down into manageable steps and build childrenβs confidence lesson by lesson.
This tutor has extensive classroom and one-to-one experience supporting children with additional educational needs. She has worked through summer programmes with an autistic, non-verbal child using picture communication, and with a child with hearing impairments, designing activities for sound recognition and social skills. She has completed specialist courses in behaviour support, sensory processing, mental health, differentiation, reading difficulties and Maths in the classroom. Parents can be reassured that she adapts tasks carefully, keeps expectations realistic, and celebrates small wins to keep children motivated.
Anne-Marie brings creativity and personality into her sessions, drawing on her background in music, drama and youth leadership. Having played in major youth orchestras and taken leading roles in school productions, she understands performance nerves and uses this to help students with reading aloud, presentations and exam stress. She often weaves games, rhythm and playful literacy ideas into lessons to keep children engaged, especially after school. Her calm, friendly manner helps students feel at ease, while still expecting them to try their best.
