What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy teaching students as it makes me happy to see them improve. While i have not formally tutored as a tutor before, i have taught children before while i was working as an admin assistance and helping my little sister with her homework.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I was very good at general mathematics in year twelve, though for English i did not do the advanced English, I did the normal English.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

The most important things a tutor can do for a student is teach them so that they can improve their studies and not just give them the answers. Another thing is be there to answer any questions related to the material that they are studying.

About Yehia

Calm, organised support for busy students

Yehia is a university student who brings strong organisation and time-management skills into every lesson. Used to handling high-pressure environments, he stays calm and patient when students feel stressed or overwhelmed by schoolwork. He pays close attention to detail, helping students slow down, read questions carefully and avoid “silly mistakes” in Maths and English. Parents can expect a tutor who is punctual, reliable, and committed to keeping sessions structured, productive and focused on steady improvement.

Experience supervising and guiding school-age children

Through his role at an extracurricular school, this tutor regularly supervised classes and stepped in to assist with teaching when the main teacher was away. He communicated with parents, helped manage student behaviour and ensured a safe, supportive environment. This experience means he understands how to keep children on task, explain instructions clearly and build positive rapport. Yehia is comfortable working with both primary and high school students, adapting his style to suit different ages and personalities.

Strong communicator who connects with families

Yehia’s background in customer-facing roles has sharpened his communication and listening skills, which he now applies to tutoring. He is used to answering questions clearly, handling concerns calmly and working with people from different language and cultural backgrounds, including Arabic- and English-speaking families. In lessons, he checks understanding step by step and encourages students to ask questions without feeling judged. Parents will appreciate his regular, straightforward updates on progress and areas to focus on between sessions.
