What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
What I enjoy most about tutoring is watching a student go from unsure to confident. That moment when something “clicks†for them - when a topic that once felt intimidating suddenly feels manageable - is genuinely rewarding. I love breaking concepts down in a way that makes sense for each individual student, and seeing them realise that they’re capable of more than they thought. Helping someone grow academically while also building their confidence is the best part of tutoring for me.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
One of my biggest strengths as a tutor is creating a supportive, non-judgmental environment where students genuinely feel safe to learn at their own pace. I’m empathetic, patient, and very aware of how much confidence impacts understanding.
Growing up, I had a few teachers who would get frustrated or angry when I didn’t grasp something immediately, and that experience stayed with me - it made learning feel stressful instead of exciting. I never want any student to feel that way. Because of that, I’m very intentional about staying calm, encouraging, and understanding.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think the most important thing a tutor can do is make a student feel genuinely safe and unembarrassed about not knowing something. Once that pressure is gone, they’re actually able to think, ask questions, and learn. A good tutor also pays attention to how a student thinks - not just what they get wrong - and adjusts the explanation to fit their logic, not their own. And finally, I think it’s important to build a student’s confidence quietly in the background, so they start realising that they’re capable, not “bad at the subject,†and that learning doesn’t have to feel intimidating.

About Vaibhavi
Strong Maths Achiever with Engineering Mindset
Vaibhavi brings a deep understanding of school mathematics, having consistently scored above 90% overall and above 90% in senior maths. As an electrical engineering student, she uses her daily exposure to advanced maths and problem-solving to give students clear, logical ways of thinking through questions. She is especially confident with algebra, functions, trigonometry, calculus and probability, and focuses on helping students not just get the right answer, but understand the “why” behind each step.
Practical Tutoring Style with Custom Resources
This tutor has extensive experience informally mentoring classmates in both high school and university, guiding them through exam-style problems step-by-step. She creates her own summary notes, practice questions and revision checklists, which she tailors to each student’s level. Vaibhavi is skilled at explaining concepts in multiple ways and spotting where a student is getting stuck, then adjusting her approach so that tricky ideas finally “click” and confidence grows.
Supportive Mentor Who Communicates with Families
Through leadership roles in student clubs and societies, Vaibhavi has developed strong communication, organisation and mentoring skills. She is used to supporting new members, listening carefully to their concerns and encouraging them to participate and improve. In tutoring, this translates to a calm, reassuring presence and structured lesson planning, along with clear progress updates for parents. She is reliable with scheduling and is committed to steady, long-term improvement rather than last-minute cramming.
