From my informal experience tutoring friends and family, I enjoy getting to learn more about both the student and their school situation alongside teaching.

From my high school years, I’ve learnt both the required content for the entirety of high school mathematics (excluding VCE general mathematics) as well as various approaches and shortcuts that teachers, my tutors and top scorers use to perform well in school

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

From my experience, students are all different in how they approach studying mathematics. Whether they learn visually/conceptually or rote memorise the whole course, I believe the most valuable asset of tutors is their flexibility to briefly step into their students shoes and explain concepts in a way that has the highest yield for the students, whilst simultaneously acting more like a mentor and role model as opposed to a standard teacher.
