What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
For me, the most enjoyable aspect of tutoring is to be able to watch the students I teach overcome their initial obstacles and progress through their learning, building confidence along the way. it gives me a sense of fulfillment and as a result, it's something I'm really passionate about.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I think that my strengths lie mostly in the fact that I am patient and able to encourage students even when they don't understand after a few tries, and I am able to explain things in many different ways to see which one sticks the best, which I believe is essential especially when teaching younger children the basics.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think the tutor has to be someone who is warm and friendly, and someone who the student sees as approachable yet still respects enough to take the lessons seriously. The student needs to feel confident in being able to ask the tutor any questions that they may be unsure about and so the dynamic needs to be one that is welcoming and accepting.

We need to work on Arjun being able to answer questions independently with minimal prompting. He also struggles to figure out the next number in a skip counting sequence without the help of a visual aid such as a number line.
Arjun was able to answer the questions that had previously been covered quicky and easily identified the larger number in a pair.
