What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy sharing my passion for the elegance and structure of mathematics and physics, and helping students develop confidence and curiosity in subjects that are often perceived as intimidating. I particularly enjoy working through challenging problems with students and breaking complex ideas into clear, intuitive steps. I believe this approach is not only the most effective way to teach, but also reinforces deep conceptual understanding for both the student and myself.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

My key strengths as a tutor are clear, intuitive explanations and a strong emphasis on understanding why concepts work before focusing on procedural or technical details. I aim to help students build genuine understanding rather than rote methods, which in turn develops their critical thinking and analytical skills. This approach equips students to apply their knowledge independently and supports long-term academic success across mathematics and science subjects.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

In my view, the most important role of a tutor is to foster curiosity and conceptual understanding by emphasising the underlying why behind each topic and, where possible, connecting ideas to real-world applications. Equally important is creating a supportive, judgement-free learning environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes. Encouraging students to be wrong, ask questions, and reflect on errors is essential for building confidence and achieving meaningful learning progress.
