What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I have only informally tutored family and family friends, but during these times, I enjoy the most seeing them gain confidence and understand topics that once seemed so hard for them to grasp. I love seeing them have the lightbulb moment when they finally understand and realise they can do it. I love seeing them feel safe and comfortable, especially when they make mistakes and ask questions.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
A strength that I believe I have as a tutor is me being a Primary Education student (from ACU, in my final year), and I have experience working with a range of year levels. My biggest strengths I have is my ability to be patient, explain concepts clearly and adjust my approach to each students and their different learning styles. I am very mindful, and always give my best support to students, especially if they are struggling, feel unsure or lack confidence. I would say I am very organised, encouraging, and I do genuinely believe in every student and their success.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing I can do for a student as their tutor is build their confidence and self belief. In my teaching experience, I've always strived to have an encouraging environment where students feel supported. A tutor needs to be patient and learn how to adapt different teaching styles for each students needs.
