What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy being able to work with a variety of students and ensure that everyone is able to learn regardless of their initial capabilities. I have a fundamental belief that no student is incapable of learning, they just have unique needs and strengths. I find that through tutoring I can explore holistic methods of teaching to reach each and every student, uncovering their hidden potential.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I am capable of communicating well with students. I am patient and observant, in which I am able to learn how a student thinks or approaches their study, and then leverage that knowledge to program my approach and methods in teaching them. I have experience teaching younger children, as I have volunteer experience teaching math at a Kumon center, and have a younger brother whose studies I often assist with.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

A tutor's most important job is making the learning process both acceptable and effective for the student. If both criteria can be fulfilled, the student will both enjoy their time learning and observe better results academically. In order for the student to find the learning process acceptable, we must be patient in finding the proper approach. We must also be open-minded and try to acknowledge their qualms or dissatisfaction, so that we may find a solution together. Lastly, we should be proactive in experimenting to find to most effective learning method for each student.
