What do I enjoy most about tutoring? ๐
Iโve always adored being able to help someone understand a question that they were stuck on. It is simply that face of joy when they finally solve it that brings me so much satisfaction and happiness knowing that I could help them get there. With younger year levels, I love being able to help students widen their interests through my own knowledge and guidance.
My Strengths as Tutor ๐ช
I am extremely patient. I build myself around the idea that it is never the studentsโ fault if they donโt understand, but rather the teacher should problem solve and introduce another way to teach them to help them learn. Each and every student is different, so a tutor needs to be adaptive, which is something that Iโve had practice with at university as well as placement.
Most important things I can do for a student ๐
At the minimum, a tutor should be able to work together with a student in a way that is the most effective for them. Additionally, they should be able to support them through a subject but also, expand them on what they already know to allow for their interests and knowledge to thrive. A tutor should have some sort of level of duty of care; different from a teacher but knowing when a student can be encouraged outside their comfort zone and know what their limits are.
