What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
What I enjoy most about tutoring is seeing students gain confidence as concepts start to make sense. Watching a student move from uncertainty to understanding is incredibly rewarding, especially when they realise they’re capable of solving problems on their own. I also enjoy building rapport with students, supporting their growth over time, and helping them develop strong problem-solving habits that extend beyond just improving their marks.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I love teaching because I genuinely enjoy helping students understand concepts clearly and gain confidence in their abilities, especially in maths where understanding builds step by step. What makes me a strong tutor and mentor is my ability to break down complex ideas into simple, logical steps and explain them in different ways depending on how a student learns. Having recently completed senior secondary studies and now studying engineering, I understand the academic pressure students face and can relate to their challenges, which makes me patient, approachable, and supportive while still en
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe the most important things a tutor can do for a student are to build a strong understanding, confidence, and good learning habits. A tutor should explain concepts clearly and logically, adapt to how each student learns, and create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. Equally important is helping students develop confidence, discipline, and problem-solving skills so they can become more independent learners, not just achieve better results in the short term.

About Ishraq
Patient, results-focused Maths & Science Tutor
I’m a first-year engineering student with a strong foundation in maths and problem-solving, and I genuinely enjoy helping students “click” with concepts that used to feel confusing. My tutoring style is clear, structured, and supportive: I break topics into simple steps, teach the reasoning behind each method, and then build confidence through guided practice and exam-style questions. I adapt to each student’s pace and learning style, focusing on steady improvement, good study habits, and making sessions engaging rather than stressful. I’m reliable, organised, and committed to creating a positive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making progress every week.
