The process of teaching and learning works both ways. I enjoy that I am able to help a student enhance their knowledge and simultaneously I refine my skills while teaching. I believe that every child has the right to learn and experience an enriching learning journey. Therefore I try to assist students sincerely so that they grow up as confident adults and can make wise choices in future. I appreciate the power & responsibility of a tutor as he/ she works closely with a child and helps them progress. I am an experienced teacher and a dedicated, empathetic, motivated, creative, spontaneous, persistent, respectful, punctual, knowledgeable individual. I have been tutoring students from various cultural and linguistic backgrounds from foundation to year 8. During my first few sessions I conduct different assessments to diagnose the abilities as well as the difficulties faced by the learner. This is then followed by designing a lesson plan specifically for the concerned student which contains methods according to the learning style of the student. Formative and summative assessments are conducted regularly to assess the progress of the learner which is then followed by a meeting with the parent. I also record daily observations which help me highlight the important learning aspects while generating a report. Along with this, I am able to motivate the learners to develop the required study skills and help them develop their confidence to achieve the desired goals.Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I help a child learn and infer the topics being taught at school by using a step wise approach which is aligned with their learning style. Along with this, I demonstrate the methodology rather than simply revealing the answer for how different texts should be written and understood or how mathematical questions are solved. I ensure that all topics are explained using the appropriate techniques and made meaningful for the learner. In addition to this I arrange the required resources, such as: flash cards, printables, worksheets, handouts, educational websites, manipulatives for maths, etc., which the student uses while learning.
