What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
It is extremely rewarding for me when a student finally gets a concept they've been struggling with, and when they feel like they have a chance to achieve their academic goals as a result of having extra tutoring sessions. I love helping people and tutoring is the perfect job for me to do that, especially in subjects which I am passionate about.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I can explain things clearly and I am knowledgeable in my subject area. I am extremely patient because I understand that everyone learns at different paces and has different learning styles - I am willing to spend as much time as possible to make sure the student can understand the concept and apply it in problems by themselves in the future. I am an active listener, which allows me to solve issues brought up be the student/parent promptly and professionally. I am very focused, which helps the student stay on track with their studies and achieve their end goal.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
• Being a good role model so the student is encouraged to pick up effective study habits, and is motivated to study for a certain subject - perhaps even picking up a passion for that subject
• Help the student achieve their best in a subject by prioritising their needs and learning style to achieve the optimal outcome, and also setting goals to work towards
• Help the student fill in any gaps in their knowledge, and also making sure they understand what you are helping them with
