What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
I love helping people. I find it extremely fulfilling, and tutoring others is a wonderful way of doing this. My passion for learning furthers the joy of tutoring, celebrating education and understanding in a productive environment. I become extremely invested in my students and seeing them do well is always an amazing feeling.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
Being a tutor is more than being a knowledge base, in facilitating a professional relationship with the student I know that I achieve amazing results. This relationship also pushes me to never give up on my students, doing anything to assist in their development.
Being a good tutor is not simply being able to impart knowledge onto a student but being able to help your student understand the concept. This entails being able to explain the same concept in multiple ways, as every student learns differently. I know that I retain this skill wonderfully.
Most important things I can do for a student π
One of the most important effects a tutor can have on a student is bringing out their confidence and have their student feel supported. Throughout my experience as a tutor, many students have said "I'm stupid" and this falsehood is holding them back. They lack confidence in exams and don't exercise sufficient effort for assignments, because they believe they will do badly. Changing this mindset is so important in tutoring, in changing this mindset they prosper.
Furthermore, an important facet of tutoring is the ability to have a student understand the concept, not just know the facts.
