What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I find tutoring and mentoring to be extremely rewarding, as you get to watch the student grow not only in success but also in confidence. The most enjoyable thing for me is to see students begin to believe in their abilities, which allows them to thrive.
I also love the challenge of coming up with interesting ways to explain difficult concepts. I find that constantly coming up with new ideas helps me to cater my teaching to the learning style of the student.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I believe that my background of working with children of different needs, I have become attuned to altering my teaching style in order to ensure that I am helping the student flourish to their full potential.
I also have a strong work ethic and will go above and beyond to ensure that the student experiences both improvement and success.
I also love learning and am keen to pass this passion for learning on to other students! Through this, I would hope to improve both the student's success in the subject I was tutoring as well as their general success at school.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing that a tutor can do for a student is to help to build their confidence and self-esteem. When a student is encouraged and begins to believe in themselves their academics will improve monumentally. It is the role of the tutor to not only boost their morale but also to be a supportive figure on which to rely upon if they experience disappointment or do not do as well in something as they would have liked to. A tutor is able to give the student the one on one time that they need to understand what mistakes they made and help rebuild their self-confidence.
