My Strengths as Tutor πŸ’ͺ

I think my passion for learning will be one of my strengths and a quality I will demonstrate as a tutor in your organisation. As a result of my previous role as a Solicitor at the Victorian Aboriginal Legal Service, I have developed strong communication skills and the ability to successfully build a relationship of trust with vulnerable young people. I believe these skills will be directly transferable to this role. My organisation skills and strong ability to prioritise, will assist me in successfully scheduling meetings with students and developing plans pursuant to their needs and goals.

Most important things I can do for a student πŸ…

I consider one of the most important things a tutor can do for a student, is to be present and listen in order to appropriately accommodate the student's needs. In seeking out tutoring, these students are placing their trust in the tutor, so making the student feel safe, seen and heard is critical in assisting the student meet their goals. Acting as a pillar of encouragement and support is also crucial and providing the little extra push where necessary in order to build up the student's confidence is equally so.
