What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I love how tutoring allows you to really make a positive impact to a student's learning and progress in their education. Being able to share knowledge, tips and advice that have helped you with others is very rewarding. Most importantly, being able to guide a student throughout their studies and to be able to witness their progress or success is one of the best parts about tutoring. I think a key strength of mine as a tutor is being able to communicate clearly and effectively with students. As a tutor, I believe being able to explain ideas and often difficult concepts in a clear, precise manner is crucial. I am able to teach students in a way that they can easily understand and follow, due to having clarity and confidence in the methods of my teaching. Secondly, I believe my ability to be a good listener is beneficial as a tutor. It is important to be able to understand an individual's need and empathise with their worries and concerns.Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think as a tutor you are in a way different from a teacher in a formal sense. However, you represent someone a student can be fully open to in regards to their learning and you act as a mentor in a less restrictive environment. It is important for a tutor to be someone who is approachable, relatable and knowledgeable. Having gone through similar experiences, not too long ago and with success in undertaking the same experience, a tutor can hopefully be someone who is able to significantly benefit a student's experience of a subject.
