What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy witnessing the student learn and grow confidence in their own abilities. Tutoring is not about the grade, but about helping a student realise their unlimited potential. I enjoy journeying with the student from where they were at in the beginning and seeing their growth in the process.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
In my experience of tutoring, it is less about showing the student what you know and understand, and more about helping the student recognise what they don't know, and help them to understand in their own pace. I have learned patience, understanding and humility as a teacher, which helps the student learn confidently.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Fostering an environment of growth is key: tutors need to encourage the student to ask questions, set realistic standards and recognise failure as the opportunity to learn. Seeing these mindsets shift within students is extremely rewarding as a teacher.
