Being able to see the results. When something ‘clicks’ in a student’s understanding, it becomes a wonderful celebration for both the student and myself. It’s incredibly rewarding!My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I am personable and approachable. I have much experience working with primary school students and I also studied Law. These have given me the ability to break down wordy pieces of information and explain it using friendly language. I am also very thorough with my tutoring. I work through things methodically with the student to prevent them from just jumping ahead without fully grasping the concept.Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Work through the concepts that the student is struggling with in school and reinforce and re-explain it until the student understands it. Never deviate from what the student is learning in school, unless it is to fill in gaps in learning. Where possible, have an ongoing dialogue with the parents and teacher of the student. I would also suggest that where the teacher is willing, that the parents obtain goals set for the student by the teacher, and the teacher outline some learning areas in which the student needs help with.Tutoring students in 👦 👧
