What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy most finding the proper ways to package information in a way that is easily digestible for a learner. Knowledge is contextual and I delight in finding and demonstrating the necessary unique context for a learner to take the next step of their educational journey.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My main strength as a tutor is my strongly held conviction that knowledge and certainty are possible and that there is no breach of human reason. From this, everything else about me and my method follows.
I hold that knowledge is a mental product that cannot be held passively or in a vacuum. My approach to tutoring keeps in mind wide epistemological and psychological principles to give a holistic and integrated understanding. This makes sure that students get a first-handed and ground-up knowledge of the subject matter rather than a parroted, rote awareness that doesn't count as knowledge.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to be scrupulously honest and focused. I believe that a tutor should approach teaching in a logical and objective way, which makes use of broad principles in order to allow retention and understanding.
