What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy seeing people come to understand topics they used to fear or find bewildering. Teaching young people is usually more enjoyable than having grown-up students because the youngsters are likely to be willing to learn and admit their mistakes. Too many older people cling to their misconceptions.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
Ability to explain, patience, finding interesting examples. I would test a student's knowledge of each topic before moving on to the next topic. For example, there's no point starting on quadratics if a student hasn't mastered linear algebra.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing is to get a student interested in the topic. Ability to inspire is what people remember about good teachers decades after school. Second is explaining tricky ideas. Third is building self-confidence.
