What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

It is so rewarding and inspiring to see students improve, or to see that I was able to influence their engagement and interest in a subject. Seeing students grow makes me feel excited to keep working away at creating new solutions for areas that they find most challenging. I enjoy creatively developing new ways to explain a concept in ways that relate to their strengths, experiences and unique perspectives. I love to see students feel prepared for an important final exam or for their future after high school, and I feel lucky to be part of their support system in their educational journey.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I encourage students to use study plans to ensure they are studying in consistent but short sessions for each subject. This grows their understanding over time and prevents them from 'burning out' or cramming. I value students' wellbeing as people with busy lives, and emphasise that organisation is a crucial thing for them to practise. By acknowledging their busy lives and hard work, I am able to create a supportive and friendly environment in which students can feel comfortable asking anything they were not able to clarify in the classroom.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

The most important thing a tutor can do is improve a student's confidence and wellbeing. For some, school is overwhelming and stress creates mental barriers for them. Tutors can provide students with the confidence to answer any question put in front of them.
