Lachlan has made a lot of improvement when answering each question. He answered most questions confidently and provided the correct answers. He seems to have done a lot of practice over the past few weeks, which is excellent. Lachlan's time management skills within the multiple choice is appropriate. He took around 30 minutes to complete which is sufficient for the first section. Lachlan was able to correctly answers most multiple choice questions. He was able to remember few preliminary content and answer them properly. His working out has also improved as he shows every step. I'm really happy with Lachlan's progress so far.
Lachlan needs to make sure to practice sitting papers under timed conditions ASAP to avoid time issues on the exam day. If he could time how long he takes to sit an entire paper and compare with the next sitting under strict timed conditions, he will feel more confident on the actual exam day. Lachlan should continue finishing the paper we went through today and sending me his working out so I can give feedback. He should make sure to read the questions carefully and check what the question is asking for, especially for a TRUE or FALSE questions which Lachlan sometimes gets confused with.

He was able to correctly answer the question I gave him within a good time frame. I then gave him 2x credit card questions and 1x loan question which was a recap from Monday’s lesson. He was able to correctly answer all three, despite making one minor mistake which he later fixed. Lachlan’s working out has also improved, it is much more easier to understand and follow. Lachlan was able to apply his prior prelim knowledge for the time zone questions. It seems that Lachlan is much more confident with calculating time difference and time zone questions.
Lachlan made few mistakes such as forgetting to add the percentage sign in his calculation. This caused him to get a very different answer to the correct option. Lachlan should make sure to divide the rate by 100 or include the percentage sign in his working out to avoid getting the question wrong. Other than that, his accuracy with investments and loans has improved. Lachlan should review simple algebra to refresh his memory. He slightly struggled with simplifying an algebraic fraction.

I gave Lachlan 45 minutes to complete the short answer section for the paper. This section requires 2 hours and 5 minutes, however, Lachlan was able to complete most questions and provide accurate working out. Lachlan’s time management has also improved as he was able to complete 6 questions within 16 minutes. He spends a good amount of time on the questions he can confidently do and send spend a bit more time on the ones that are trickier. Out of these 6 questions, Lachlan got 3 correct. He made few minor mistakes which changed the final answer for the other questions. Lachlan was able to calculate the energy cost, find the spanning tree, find the least-squares line of regression and calculate the future value by interesting the interest rate and time period table. Lachlan was able to answer the hybrid question of population graph and financial math. He was able to find the y-intercepts and predict the population when x amount is given. Lachlan also showed perfect working out steps when trying to calculate the overtime hours in a week. Lachlan only made few silly mistakes. He was close with providing the correct answer for the network diagram question, however he wrote down the path that was slightly higher than the required answer. Lachlan should carefully read the questions and take his time when answering the questions. Lachlan needs to be careful when reading graphs that have two sets of data on it. Lachlan is so far doing well, he just needs more daily practice with topics he feels unsure with. This will help eliminate any mistakes when reaching the final answer.
