What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy being able to watch the student progress and gradually understand the content. Similarly, I also enjoy forming a mentoring relationship with the student as I am able to learn about life from their perspective.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I have good communication skills, which will help the student learn content. I am also patient - I will always be willing to repeat my explanations or modify then to garuntee understanding. I believe my knowledge of mathematics make me very enthusiastic about maths and teaching it.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing I can do for a student is being able to modify my explanations to suit different students. I believe being a good listener encourages the student to verbalise their thought process, which helps their learning.

The questions that Charlotte got wrong were questions that she misread, or didn't know how to do. Charlotte has a good understanding of maths, but needs to not panic during a test so she can think clearly and properly answer the question. I told her to pace herself - for one mark, spend a minute and a half.
The questions that Charlotte got wrong were dividend questions and network questions. I have explained those questions to her understanding, and have given her a video to watch for further elaboration. In addition, to work on her management/panic during exams, I have given her a trial test to do.

We covered all the MCQ questions. Ashley has a strong base is statistical questions, or questions relating to the normal distribution. She is confident in financial maths as well.
Ashley needs improvement in the topic rations and rates, as well as constructing mathematical equations and rearranging those equations.
Ashley understands the empirical rule really well! She is quite good at questions which ask her to find the range, given percentage under curve or vice versa.

Ashley needs to remember that the normal distribution has an area under the curve of 1 or 100%. She could also stand to get more used to sketching out the graph again.
Charlotte was good at recognising 'cuts' through a network - whether it was a proper cut, etc.

Charlotte is a little confused about finding the 'max flow', especially the method by finding all the routes, finding the max flow and adding them. I have send a video to hopefully explain the concept a bit more.
