What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy relearning the things I am teaching. Maths is so far from memorisation and understanding is the key. Being able to find various of methods to solve a problem is something I enjoy the most especially that this is always the case for maths.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I believe a strength I have as a tutor is the passion I have for mathematics. I enjoy it because I understand it and it gives me satisfaction when I solve a problem. In addition, I believe I am also a very patient tutor. I will find different ways to solve a problem and see what method they can understand more.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe having a friendly relationship is very important this is because letting students feel comfortability is key to understanding a lesson. When I was a student, I convinced myself I hated English. In Year 11, I did the compulsory English ATAR unit. Throughout two years of having the same teacher and classmates, I felt more comfortable and my grades did not go as bad as I expected it to be. Even till today, I still think about that teacher and thank her for changing a bad perspective I have of myself.Additionally, I also consider knowing the student's skill level to be necessary.
