What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
The joy of being able to see your students achieving stellar results in their examinations after months of hard work and effort put into achieving them. It makes all the constant practices worth it at the end of the day. Seeing them beaming in delight and thanking you for your efforts makes you realise how significant a role you have played in their lives in assisting them to achieve what previously eluded them for so long.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
Patience, responsibility and empathy. I have learned throughout my years of teaching to put myself into their shoes, understand what their difficulties lie in and devising ways to cater my teaching methods to them instead of using my own teaching for everyone. Being patient with students who are less academically inclined than others goes a long way to ensuring that they receive the necessary attention required for them to catch up on school work. Having that sense of responsibility towards your students, familiarising yourself with their syllabuses is the basic aspect of being a good tutor.
Most important things I can do for a student π
I think academic results are secondary to what we can do for students. Ultimately, the most important thing for me is to reignite the joy in learning for them, inculcating a positive mindset in them and letting them see studies as something enjoyable instead of dreading it all the time.
