What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Despite my little experience with it, the idea of actively helping a student towards their academic goals, the fun of the challenges that come with it as well as the great sense of fulfilment it gives, makes tutoring a very fun occupation. It also allows me to fill in my time around university classes with a job that has flexible hours, as well as a means for me to gain more confidence and practice my inter-personal skills & academic knowledge.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
As someone who was once a tutored student, I have great empathy towards those that have faced the frustration of falling behind peers, along with the constant pressure of needing to meet high expectations & achieve high grades. So if not my ability to teach, then my own past experiences could serve to further aid the student in their studies.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Broadly speaking, the most important thing to gain from school is preparation for the harsh realities and injustices that come with further education and adult life, but still being able to retain idealistic wonder and be able to still move forward to overcome those obstacles and enjoy life. Ultimately, I believe that the most important part of a tutor’s role in a student’s maturity is to be able to personally continue to cultivate the student’s curiosity & love for learning as well as genuinely giving academic & real world guidance.
