What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
I enjoy the moment when my student finally understands a concept they have struggled with most. These moments confirm that I am doing something meaningful and I may use similar techniques of explanation in the future.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
Firstly, I have extensive maths and economics experience from my undergraduate economics studies. My high school maths and economics results were among the highest achievers, with 7/7 in SL IB maths and 7/7 in HL IB economics. Further, I am currently enrolled in the Master of Teaching program at the University of Sydney, providing me with professional pedagogical training. Finally, I am always patient with students, regardless of their current capabilities.
Most important things I can do for a student π
The most important thing I can do for my students is to help them become self-motivated learners. I am able to answer most of the "what's the point of this" type of questions, as I understand how many of the topics covered in primary and secondary syllabi will become crucial in not only tertiary studies but also in real-life situations.
