What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy helping students succeed and achieve their goals. When I was a student, it can be incredibly rewarding to see my classmates grasp a difficult concept or improve their grades as a result of my guidance. Additionally, tutoring often involves one-on-one interactions with others, which allows me to build relationships and help them on a more personal level. I also find that I learn a lot through tutoring, as it deepens my understanding of the subject matter and develops new teaching strategies.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
As a UNSW engineering student, one of my strengths is a deep understanding of subjects, like maths and science, which allows me to explain complex concepts clearly. I also can break down complex problems into smaller, more manageable parts, making it easier to grasp the material.
In addition to my subject matter expertise, I possess strong communication skills, allowing me to convey information in a way that is easy to understand. I am also patient and empathetic, which can be helpful when working with students who are struggling to grasp difficult concepts.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe that a tutor should tailor instruction to the student's needs. Every student is different, and a good tutor should be able to identify their student's strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles. By adapting their teaching methods to suit the student's needs, a tutor can ensure that the student is making the most of their time together. Fostering a love of learning is also crucial a tutor should strive to foster a love of learning in their student. By making the subject matter engaging and relevant to the student's interests, a tutor can help their student develop a long-term passion.
