The most important things a tutor can do are: - Guide the student in their work, not just tell them the answers. It's so important, particularly in maths, to have an understanding of the foundations of each problem. This allows students to apply their own methods to each new problem. - Provide a fun and exciting learning environment. The student is spending time doing work outside of school, and potentially on a subject they struggle with.
