What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

What I enjoy most about tutoring is helping students who find certain subjects difficult. It brings me joy to see them regain their confidence once they understand the concepts they initially struggled with. I can relate to their frustration since I've experienced it too. I want to encourage them not to give up and show them that with practice, improvement is possible. I believe they can even start enjoying a subject they once found challenging!

As a tutor, I have been learning and improving my knowledge in Maths and Computer Science since I was young. I understand the challenges that can make students feel hopeless and stuck. I would encourage them to ask themselves where they are stuck and what information they need to move forward. I also encourage them to be resourceful and find helpful resources to solve their problems, so they don't always rely on others to give them answers. I have learned these subjects in this way over the years, and I believe this mindset is beneficial for both myself and the students I help.

Besides teaching problem-solving skills, a tutor can also offer encouragement, like giving a small high-five or praising their efforts.
