What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Solving a math problem side by side with my student as a peer rather than an instructor. Not only does the student benefit from this experience but I also get to re-experience that excitement and sense of achievement whenever a math problem is finally tackled. Creating a wholesome & challenging-enough (to endorse growth) learning environment is always my goals.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
The ability to explain mathematics both in very simple terms or a literary manner. I love giving real-life examples to help with visualizing and memory encoding. I have also developed a strategy to shield against getting stuck during exam, by first getting stuck "logically" while learning new knowledge. This way, I can solve math at an incredibly fast pace because there are no longer distracting "logics", as I have already solved them. I believe this will also help my student exactly how it has helped me, making the student a strong performer.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Listening. I cannot help if I don't understand the person I am helping. My teaching method is to be an alliance, meaning I need to first get on the same boat with my student to fully understand their view towards a problem. Only through this that I not only can show the right way to go instead but also reject the wrong ways the student is getting stuck in so that they won't fall into the same mistake again.

Violet knew how to make a stem & leaf plots, calculate mean & median, identify a mode very well, find median from a S & L plot. Violet honestly talked about where she needed improvements so I could target those areas right away. After 1 session, Violet has had a better grasp of probability and reading the data more carefully & correctly.
Probability: needs more practice identifying which data should be used as a the numerator & denominator. Reading Key in S & L plot Working with grouped data Identifying what "at least" means and which data to select
