Physics Tutor Waterloo Corner, SA
I consider the most important thing as a physics tutor is the success of my student academically through personalised lessons. I feel an obligation to ensure that my students pass or exceed in the topics they bring to the lessons and aim to empower them to create independent learners. I would say my strengths are being able to break down complex…

Physics Tutor Burton, SA
In my opinion, as a physics tutor, it is very important to cherish the students as they progressed, acknowledging their work and encourage them to try to do with their full potential. Besides, it is important to have an understanding of their best way of learning, and encourage them to question in their learning. Furthermore, awareness of their…

I believe the most important thing a physics tutor can do for a student is to give them the confidence to never stop trying to learn despite few low moments. I personally, encourage students to ask even the most basic questions which come across their mind and to never feel ashamed of wanting to learn more or being curious. In my opinion,…

The most important thing a tutor can do is guide a student, giving them the confidence and belief in their own abilities to learn. The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is finding a way of teaching that works for the specific student, while also making learning enjoyable and engaging. This will ensure that they have an optimal learning environment. I think my strengths as a tutor are that I can relate to many of the students and I like to think that I am…

Buddhini is lovely and we have been really happy with her support of our daughter in Maths.

Inside VirginiaTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 5 student Archie worked on simplifying ratios and strengthening times tables knowledge.

Year 8 Amelia focused on finding the area of kites, diamonds, and irregular shapes, as well as revising perimeter and area concepts using classwork examples.

Meanwhile, Year 9 Suhana practised trigonometry by calculating missing triangle sides and reviewed key topics such as surface area, volume, and Pythagoras' theorem in preparation for an upcoming assessment.

Recent Challenges

In a recent Year 10 session, one student hesitated to talk through their problem-solving steps in maths, often defaulting to "I don't know" when faced with fraction addition ("encourage her to talk through her thinking process").

For a Year 8 biology lesson, the absence of key materials like the test and textbook meant essential review couldn't happen—momentum was lost before the work began.

Meanwhile, a senior student preparing for exams sometimes forgot to bring required resources or background notes; as a result, valuable lesson time shifted from tackling challenging content to scrambling for basics.

Recent Achievements

A tutor in Virginia noticed a Year 9 student who used to rush through maths problems now routinely checks her work for errors and fixes them herself, something she avoided before.

In another high school session, a student tackling Pythagoras' theorem was able to solve composite shape questions without any prompts and talked through each step out loud—a shift from previous lessons where he waited for guidance.

Meanwhile, a Year 4 learner who previously panicked at multi-step multiplication tasks now calmly breaks them into chunks and finishes skip counting exercises on her own.

What they say about our tutoring

quote

We are very pleased with the progress of the tutorials with Aprinder. Dean is engaging really well with him and already seems more confident.  We hope his apparent progress will be reflected in both a more positive attitude toward maths that is enduring and also in his maths results at school.

Nathan is great and Katelyn is really happy. At first she wasn't very keen on having a tutor but she is not complaining at all anymore.  We are off to a great start and I feel positive.

Working with you guys was very fun and exciting. I got to learn a lot from it. Getting to know and meeting different students built up my communication and teaching skills. My biggest achievement was teaching a student who hated maths and making them love it. it was a time of hardship, but I never gave up . The student always felt that she couldn't do well and that she will always hate maths. I decided to challenge myself that no matter what I will surely make this student reach the top level. Slowly the effort rose and I was proud of myself that I was capable of teaching my students to love maths and always never lose hope. Ezymath tutoring was one thing I wanted to work with because it provided resources, flexible timings and balanced schedule. I  never had any problems with rescheduling as you guys were flexible. Tutoring has made me experience and reveal my inner most teaching skills and communication skills. I can approach a problem from the student's perspective, which helps in identifying faults in understanding. Students gradually gained confidence over months and I was finally confident that they would be ready for any tough problems. I enjoyed working with you and I will recommend you to fellow tutors and prospective clients.

Local Spots for Tutoring

If you'd prefer not to have lessons at home, tutoring can also take place at a local library—such as Two Wells Public Library—or at your child's school (with permission), like Virginia Primary School.
