Online Tutor Seaford Rise, SA
I believe the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is giving the students the confidence required to work through any problems they may encounter in their studies. I am able to communicate effectively to students, and due to recently completing year 12, I am able to understand the complicated nature of studying. Furthermore, I…

Local Reviews

The process has been very straight forward so far. Our tutor was highly efficient in getting onto us initially and introducing herself. The time for tutoring has worked well and the tutor is always on time and well organised. She has connected very well with our daughter and our 14 year old is already feeling more confident, relaxed and knowledgable in her maths lessons. Thank You!

Inside Willunga SouthTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 4 student Bella focused on long division and place value to strengthen her calculation skills, and also worked through 2, 5, and 10 times tables using pattern-based activities.

Year 9 student Sarah tackled trigonometry problems involving finding unknown sides and angles in triangles, along with practice questions on algebraic factorisation.

Meanwhile, Year 10 student Liam concentrated on quadratic factorisation using the quadratic formula and expanded his understanding of simultaneous equations through step-by-step problem solving.

Recent Challenges

In Year 4, one student repeatedly relied on counting with fingers for multiplication and addition, which slowed progress and led to hesitation when larger numbers appeared.

"She needs to work on showing her working out," a tutor noted after several lessons where written steps were skipped in division tasks.

By Year 9, another student often froze at the start of assignments or tests, unable to recall processes until questions were rephrased—a mental blank that delayed getting started.

In senior maths, forgetting to label triangles correctly meant trigonometry errors lingered until mistakes were explicitly pointed out, eroding confidence mid-task.

Recent Achievements

One Willunga South tutor noticed a big shift in Lara, a high school student who used to hesitate when she got stuck—now she actively asks for help and can explain exactly where she struggles, especially with topics like graphing parabolas and index laws.

Another high schooler, Sasha, recently managed to complete all her factorisation questions without any errors after initially needing frequent support; she now identifies mistakes independently and fixes them right away.

In Year 4, Nicole has moved from scoring 0% on rounding in her pre-assessment to achieving 75% on her latest test and is tackling new homework strategies with far less prompting than before.

What they say about our tutoring

quote

Just thought I would let you know Wayne passed his HSC with flying colours and is off to university! THANK YOU! Your tutors did a FANTASTIC job! =)

Working with Ezy Math Tutoring is hands down, the best opportunity I could have done for my career and for myself. I started working with them while studying at university, and I found that tutoring was not only fulfilling and rewarding, but it helped me understand little things better, which in turn helped me with my work at uni. Having to teach material that I'd become so familiar with, to someone who wasn't, made me actually think about maths in much more depth. It also taught me patience, to problem solve, and how to explain a concept that I understand very well, to someone who didn't. Not to mention it was fantastic to get to know the kids, see them through school and celebrate their successes with them. After university, when interviewing for jobs to start my career, amid all my awards and achievements, the thing that impressed people the most was my tutoring experience. The most amazing thing is being able to see the difference in the students - not only in their marks but their confidence. It's incredible to know that you helped make that happen. Unfortunately I am unable to continue tutoring with Ezy Math Tutoring as I've started my career as a Software Test Analyst, and it's because of my tutoring experience that I was able to receive this amazing opportunity. Ezy Math Tutoring really has been the best experience, and I would definitely recommend working as a Tutor with them, or as a client.

Ezymath tutoring was a fantastic company to tutor for. They were extremely helpful in a number of situations and were always able to answer a question promptly. The way in which they kept on making sure I was continually trained was a success through the use of biweekly CEP. Overall, I am very happy with having tutored with Ezymath and would recommend anyone to choose them, as a tutor or a student
