Ancient History Tutor Beenleigh, QLD
I believe a tutor's duty is not to necessarily improve the intellectual capability of their client, but rather, guide them in a way that allows them to harness their own learning potential through customised, carefully tailored programs specific to the individual. Whilst this may not necessarily be viable for every circumstance, it is the role of…

We are very pleased with Mitchell. Thank you for assigning him to us. Elahe has connected very well with him as well and we are more than happy to continue the tutorials with him.

Inside WolffdeneTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 5 student Jake practised simplifying fractions and finding the lowest common multiple, then applied these skills to addition and subtraction of fractions using visual aids.

For Year 8, Emily worked through algebraic expressions—expanding brackets and reviewing homework questions on combining like terms—to build fluency in manipulation of equations.

Meanwhile, Year 9 student Noah focused on trigonometry basics, including calculating unknown sides using sine and cosine rules, and solved several angle of elevation problems with step-by-step diagram support.

Recent Challenges

A Year 8 student was unable to complete a practice test under timed conditions, showing a reliance on tutor guidance for each question—knows the content quite well but is a bit unsure in his own abilities.

In Year 11, forgetting to use formula sheets and not reviewing feedback after errors led to repeated mistakes in trigonometry applications.

Meanwhile, a Year 5 student did not attempt assigned maths homework and struggled to remember times tables without constant reference.

During long division exercises in Year 4, mixing up step order caused confusion, slowing progress when working independently.

Recent Achievements

One Wolffdene tutor noticed a Year 9 student who had struggled with multi-step algebraic equations is now independently solving sheets of bracket problems after just a few sessions—he's even begun to double-check his own work, which he rarely attempted before.

A recent high school session saw another student tackle percentages and rounding: previously hesitant, she aced every quiz question thrown at her and started using visual analogies on her own initiative.

Meanwhile, a Year 4 student who often rushed through math exercises has begun carefully verbalising each step aloud and highlighting keywords in word problems before attempting answers.

What they say about our tutoring

quote

Mihika is doing very well with both Lachlan and Courtney, they are building up a rapport together and their exam results have been improved. It certainly has boosted their confidence and we they like their tutor.

I just wanted to thank you Ezymath for helping my son to understand the curriculum of year 10 math.  My son found his teacher would repeat the same thing over and by having an ezymath tutor he was able to hear it explained in a different way and as often as needed for him to understand it.  He came 2nd in his class and passed with confidence.  I also found our tutor to be reliable, responsible and patient and I will be calling again when my daughter needs help with her math, which will probably be earlier than year 10.  Thank you again for supplying a tutor so quickly.

Working for EzyMath tutoring gave me a sense of strong responsibility and a feeling of accomplishment. I felt as though I had not only taken up a teaching role, but a mentoring role as well. The staff are there to help if you need it as well as a strong community of colleagues to access for support. I would recommend EzyMath tutoring to any clients and fellow tutors.

Local Spots for Tutoring

If you'd prefer not to have lessons at home, tutoring can also take place at a local library—such as Beenleigh Library—or at your child's school (with permission), like Rivermount College.
